Place the floor shifter template onto the floor aligning the center of the template with the predrilled hole. Any post 40 ford column shift assembly readily available from the local junk yard can be used for the conversion. Mark the outer perimeter of the template with a sharpie marker. Because there was no way to convert the manual column to work with the automatic transmission the options were to either replace the steering column or add a floor shifter.
