Now here s how the system works this is the closing mechanism. In general we only needed one per drawer. I followed the tips from other posters on how to install these mechanisms. The slow close basically is the result of the piece on the drawer catching the piece on the wall and then slowly closing.

The old hardware remains in place. Switch the drawer slides jig so that it is sticking outside of the cabinet. Retrofit soft close to almost any drawer blumotion. You put one piece on the bottom of the drawer as close to the front as you can.

Our knife drawer is the width of 2 regular drawers plus it has the extra weight of metal utensils so that s the only drawer we used 2 units on. Screw the slides into the drawer. Step 2 drill a starter hole with a 3 32 inch drill bit attached to the electric drill. Rest the drawer on the jig and extend the drawer slides until they are fully extended to the front edges of the drawer.
