Convert cabinet to trash drawer.
Total cost was less then 20.
In this video you can see how i was able to convert a kitchen cabinet into pull out wastebasket.
Use a level to extend that line across the width of the inside of the cabinet wall.
Grab a drawer that is just a wee bit smaller then the width of the cabinet door and remove the face.
Then measure the height from the bottom of the cabinet to the top of your drawer slide plus another 1 8 for clearance.
You will be using that line as a guide for placing the two strips of wood which will hold the drawer hardware.
Add brackets so the trashcan will stay in place.
If you are making multiple drawers and want to have rails between them as in the cabinet to the right of the one i modified here simply make the rails out of the same material as the rest of the cabinet face and attach them with pocket screws.
Measure up from the bottom of the cabinet sides and mark the height you ve just found the trash can height plus one inch with a pencil.
Great way to save space and hi.
Next you need to attach the drawer to the bottom of the door on the backside.
