Built out of 8 thick timbers timber mats are used to build cost effective roadways and work areas in unstable environments for all different sizes of equipment. In order to avoid soil compaction and achieve the goal of minimizing any negative impact on the environment conservation planning called for the utilization of timber mats placed over the frost and ice otherwise known as a froze road. They are constructed using top quality bolts 100 bolts no nails and overlapping boards. Built with safety in mind they feature consistently narrow notches countersunk nuts and flush cut long bolts which are cut flush to the surface of the mat.

Timber mats support for temporary roads and platforms sterling s timber mats are made of mixed dense hardwood timbers. The logging mats are 16 in length. Bolts provide a stronger bond than nails between the boards and prevent breaks during use. The logging mats are made out of 5 4 oak which are bolted together to provide extra stability.

They protect equipment while also reducing landscape destruction during pipeline and other construction projects. Each mat is designed with a reinforced slotted area which allows knuckle boom loaders or skidders to move the mats with ease.
