Connecting More Than One Gutter Pipes

Step 2 insert a 3 4 inch sheet metal screw through the front of the gutter outlet using a screwdriver so that it penetrates the elbow and holds it in place.

Insert an elbow up one inch into the bottom of the funnel shaped opening on the gutter which is called a gutter outlet. No adhesive or sealant is needed to make the joint but we recommend that you should always support any downpipe with a pipe clip within 200mm of the outlet. Place two more screws on the sides of the gutter. Other than the gutter itself it requires little more than a downspout and an elbow or two.

To this total length add 4 more inches to the length this is for an overlap at the interior joined seam it will make the gutter stronger in that area.

As with all of our gutter systems the downpipe pushes directly onto the bottom of the running outlet or stopend outlet no other connector is required. There will be a manhole some where close just run a new drain to that and connect new soil to same. The one on the right is a newer down spout from the garage. If venting soil stack it need to terminate 1 m above any opening.

You wont be the first. Prior to connecting these two drains the water from the right gutter drain would create a massive puddle on the ground. Step 2 the first gutter piece and maybe the second and even a third piece will likely be full 10 ft.
